Bedrooms

We provide you with linens and towels.

Bathroom

You’ll find a neutral shampoo, balsam and shower gel. There’s a hair dryer under the sink.

Children

2 x baby chairs are placed in the hallway upstairs.

More:

• There’s a shoe-dryer by the foot of the stairs. Please don’t use this when not present and awake, due to risk of fire.

• If using the dryer on mittens or socks, don’t push the hose deep into the mitten - it will overheat.

Kitchen

Dishwasher

• You can start the dishwasher before leaving the cabin. It will automatically open when finished.

• Dishwasher water supply: Push the round button on the tap in order to open the water supply for the dishwasher for a set time of 4 hours. If you forget to do this prior to starting the dishwasher, it will not run the program.

Kitchen vent

• The ventilator is operated by a remote control attached to the power outlet.

Counter top

• The counter top is made of bamboo, and it doesn’t like prolonged exposure to water. Thus, remember to always dry it off after using the kitchen.

Fridge

• The fridge and the freezer is to be emptied completely when leaving.

Basic stuff

• You’ll find salt, pepper, sugar and oil in the kitchen.

TECH and entertainment

TV

• TV on the loft with android based TV-stick with preinstalled the most popular streaming apps (Netflix, Amason Prime, Disney+). You can also stream Norwegian TV (NRK) for free with the NRK-app, which is also installed.

• Remember tounplug the extension cord from the power outlet when leaving the cabin.

X-box 360

• You’ll find a console and a selection of games. Please use the guest-account. The kinect-device can be used with Zumba and Kinect Adventures.

• Please be prevent scratches by handling the DVDs carefully.

Wifi

• Complimentary high speed WiFi available throughout the premises.

Board games and books

• In the drawer facing the dining table, you’ll find a variety of board games (mostly in Norwegian) for you o enjoy.

• In the white cupboard in the corner you’ll find books, also mostly in Norwegian.

EV-charger

• There’s an EV-charger by the entrance for you to use.

• Please notify us in advance if you want to use the charger.

• Remember to bring your own Type-2 charging cable.

• The charging speed is 12 amps.

• Please pay NOK 50 for one charge in summer, and NOK 100 for one charge in winter.

• You’re not allowed to use a schuko-charging device in the regular power outlet by the entrance.

HEATING

The cabin has floor heating, which will be turned on before you arrive. Please leave all the termostats on 20 degrees when you leave the cabin.

Fireplace

• There’s a fireplace on the cabin.

• Ignition helpers (small bags) are in the rount container on the fireplace.

• You can buy your own 40 litre nets of wood in the grocery stores in town. The closest one is Rema 1000.

• Only use wood, don’t burn paper, cardboard, etc. Max 2 logs at the same time.

• There’s a dedicated ash vacuum cleaner (Kärcher AD2) om the closet in the end of the hallway upstairs. Only use this to clean the fireplace.

  • NB:

    • Don’t vacuum before the ash is completely cold.

    • Please don’t make scratches with the vacuum nozzle.

• Remember that the ash may still be warm 10 hours after the flames go out.

SECURITY

Fire

• In the loft there is a ladder by the windows that can be used if you have to evacuate out the window.

• The fire extuingisher is to be found in the hallway upstairs.

  There are smoke-detectors in all of the bedrooms and hallways. They will blink every 40th of a second to indicating that the batteries are ok.

• In case of a fire, call 110

Health

• In case of a medical emergency, call 113. The address is Himlesdalen 172, 5708 VOSS.

• If you need to see a doctor (but you don’t need an ambulance), call: 116 117

• Phone number to the local hospital (Voss sjukehus) is: 56 53 35 00

• In the event of an acute posioning, call: 22 59 13 00 for advice.

NB:

• In the winter, snow may fall from the roof without warning. Don’t park the car directly in front of the cabin if there’s snow on the roof. Don’t let children play in tha back or front of the cabin when there’s snow on the roof.

CLEANING

You’ll clean the cabin before leaving. You’ll find necessary equipment in the closet at the end of the hallway upstairs.

Floors:

• Vacuum and dry-mop the floors (one-time-use wet and dry mops are available).

• If needed, you may also use the wet-mop

Kitchen/living room:

• Put everything back in it’s place.

• Run the dishwasher before leaving.

• Remember that the counter-tops don’t like water. You may clean it with a moist cloth, but remember to dry it afterwards.

• Clean the refrigerator inside if needed, and empty it. Don’t turn the refrigerator off when you leave the cabin.

Fireplace:

• The side glasses can be opened by pulling a lever just over the glasses.

• Use the dedicated cleaning spray for cleaning the glass.

• Remaining (cold!) ashes may be vacuumed using the dedicated Kärcher AD2 vacuum cleaner.

Bathroom

• Vacuum and wet-mop the floor.

• Use the bathroom cleaning spray on the sink, mirror, shower and toilet.

  • You may use a microfibre cloth on the mirror, sink and shower.

  • Only use a one-time-use cloth on the toilet.

Bedrooms and loft

• Vacuum and mop the floors.

• Bed linen and used towels are to be removed and put in a pile in the hallway downstairs. Please notify usin case of staining.

COVID19

• We clean all contact points in between rentals.

Annet

• One-time-use cloths are thrown in the garbage.

• Used cloths are to be put with the linen in the pile in the hallway.

Garbage is to be handled as described under.

GARBAGE

Garbage is to be sorted and brought to the recycling point down the road, as indicated on the map.

CHECKLIST BEFORE LEAVING THE CABIN

• Tidy and clean the cabin according to the instructions given.

• Used linen, towels and clots, are to be put in a pile on the floor in the hallway downstaris. Notice us in case of staining.

• Disconnect the power cord of the TV/Gaming console.

• The movable oven is to placed mid hallway upstairs, the oven is to be turned on and set at 20 degrees celcius, but is to be connected through the smart plug, which should be turned off (by pressing the light diode on the plug itself).

• All outdoor chairs is to be placed under the roof on the terrace.

• Ensure that all windows are closed.

• Ensure that the terrace door is properly closed and locked.

• Ensure that the entrance door upstairs is properly locked.

• Leve all the doors inside ajar/in an open position, to ensure proper circulation of air.

• The bathroom fan upstairs is to be left ON.

• Remember to turn off all lighting.

• If toilet paper, kitchen paper, detergents, etc. are running low, please notify us so we can restock.

• Ensure that the main entrance door is properly locked. You may need to use some force to close it properly.

• Bring the garbage to the recycling point.
